Raft Race Series
White Water Rafting – No longer just for the enjoyment of Gift Voucher holders and Raft Guides. The British Raft Race Series opens the world of rafting to any one with a sense of adventure and a competitive streak. With the 2010 Series starting at Nottingham’s National Water Sports Centre on the 4th and 5th of April, this is really introducing a new sport for competition, fun and paddle sports skills for all abilities. With teams of 6 paddlers (no raft guides needed, but obviously if you have one good to use them) racing head to head, slalom and endurance, the competition is extremely exciting.
Live Music Saturday Night!

All Particpants get Free Entry into the Party on Saturday night with Live Music from "Fire up th Quattro" Free Food on Saturday Night, and as usual a host of great prizes to be won.

Youth Team Selection
British White Water Rafting needs to recruit young paddlers who would like to race competitively both in Great Britain and abroad. They are looking for young people aged between 16 and 21. This year sees the first ever Youth White Water Rafting World Championships for R4 (teams of 4) being hosted in Holland.
British Rafting is looking for a male and female R4 team to compete in the Youth World Champs, and is running a selection event at Nottingham on the weekend of the 3rd, 4th, 5th of April 2010.
Are you interested? If so, you need to be water confident and physically fit. Some paddle-sport and white water experience would be an advantage.
Opportunities exist for individuals and groups of 4 paddlers.
If you are keen to be involved you will need to enter your self or your team by clicking the enter team button below.

Tuesday 6th April to Thursday the 8th of April
Raft Guide Level 1 Training Course
The National Water Sports Centre are running a Level 1 Raft Guide Training course straight after the event. This is a ideal opportunity to take advantage of the rafting skills you have gathered over the weekend then apply them to becoming a commercial raft guide. Locations such as the National Water Sports Centre have a need for Raft Guides to work over the summer months making this a ideal course for a local univertisity student looking to support there studies.
To Book you place on the course follow this link direct to the National Water Sports Centre Web site, and book online.
